Iteration and conditional branching are the most fundamental ingredients of any computer programme. In this one day workshop, workshop participants will build software that manipulates images using loops and conditional statements — and take a look at image filters, procedural images and cellular automata.

The aim of the workshop is to look at and discuss some historical and foundational concepts of computation and to use these concepts to build small image applications for the browser with p5js.
